Continuing our annual study week, Camp Mark Seven will again host its weeklong Mark Seven Bible Institute. The Mark Seven Bible Institute is the only Deaf Catholic Bible study colliquium in North America, where the lectures, liturgical celebrations, and social gatherings are conducted entirely in American Sign Language. In joyful obedience to Pope Benedict XVI's proclamation of the "Year of Faith," the Mark Seven Bible Institute will present the Scriptural portrait of 'faith' as a theological virtue and as the practical experience of the life of grace for every Christian. Taking for our starting point the eleventh chapter of Hebrews, we will look at the examples of faith among the Old Testament saints, as well as the teachings of St Paul the Apostle on the role of faith in the believer's encounter with Jesus Christ, who bridges the gap between humanity and God.
